One Manga shut down
http://www.onemanga.com/ the worlds most popular online manga scanlation reading site shut down yesterday. Publishers must be taking hits from the economy since they havn’t jumped on online manga before. However I doubt killing this internet giant will boost sales, but will most likely reduce them. Onemanga was unique as it had a large variety of mangas not available in english, translated by fans. Through this, smaller manga artists got alot of advertising they wouldnt have otherwise. I believe the main reason behind the change in policy is manga giants, milked for money. (naruto, bleach, one peice) that are already published in many countries.
-The good days with onemanga are now gone, and I will miss them. The employment rate for college graduates age 18-29 is lower than it was in the great depression in the usa right now (37%). So my chances of finding a job that can afford to buy me manga are very low (you can donate to the right!).
Mabye someday Ill be able to gather up enough money to move to a different country, one less of a poser than the usa! Hopefully one that actually has logical moral standards and culture!
If that doesn’t happen I may be a american hobo. Make sure to say hi to me at walmart. Ill keep the blog up via mcdonalds wifi and my laptop

I already miss it… I went onto the website today, all of those wonderful manga’s that I read… gone… all gone… No fairy tail, no bleach, no hayate the combat butler, gone, all gone!
*slams face on keyboard and starts sobbing*

I agree, the shutdown = bad.
I miss this site. Used to use with proxy read manga at school.
