Burnout Paradise (review!)
So I ditched the Ipod touch review to bring you a review of an AWESOME game you MUST have in your collection.
So, I’ve never been a big fan of racing games; most of the time racing games are just holding down one key attempting to dodge other cars and take turns. Essentially Frogger, but going down the road as apposed to across it. Burnout Paradise however, doesn’t take that path. This game, is beautiful, it has vibrant open world environment named paradise city; filled with crazy detail. Paradise City has hundreds of places to drive off road, side roads, jumps, secret locations; for example if your not in the mood for dealing with traffic, you can go offroad onto the railroad track. You can free ride without worrying about races, with more than 75 cars to pick from with your own paintjobs. Hell, you can even get motorcycles if a car isn’t your thing! The cars aren’t generic, all are different looking, with different handling, acceleration, top speed, boost, boost types, durability, traction ect. Their are also different game modes if racing isn’t for you, road rage is a mode where you attempt to kill other drivers; via driving them into walls or pushing them off bridges. Another game mode (marked man) is essentially playing transporter, get to the target point – alive. Than there are 1v1, 1v6 and 1v8 races that(like all other events) can be started from free mode! No need to switch menu’s, just walk up to a stop light and press forwards and brake!
Overall Score: 9.5/10 *MUST OWN*
Graphics: 9/10
Audio: 10/10
Gameplay: 9/10
Replay Value: 9/10

This is a great game to add to your collection! And In my opinion, best racing game so far of the 21st century!
"The Secret of Happiness"
Someone wrote to me, telling me “I have learned the secret of true happiness: You are as happy as you want to be.” I just felt like replying; this method only works if you are REALLY good at lying to yourself.
RE: Florida Trip
Delta canceled our flights due to “snow” in the Orlando area (it never actually snowed, they just speculated it). And they tried to give us a new flight to florida 7 days after the first one (was supposed to be dec 24). Since my dad needs to fly out to Washington for a job interview on the 4th, we would have only had 1 day in Florida so we ended up getting refunds instead :/ No florida this year.
@Fundaisers!
Its that time of year, the holidays are here – So I thought I would tally up 2 of the fundraisers I support the most.
First off, I’d like to talk about Desert Bus for Hope!
- This is a gaming marathon run every year (for the past 3 years). Donators put up money for the amount of time the team is able to continue playing an old bus driving sim continuously. This year the game was played for literally 5 days 21 hours IN A ROW. Thats 21+(24*5) hours of playing the same boring game. I guess the thing behind this fundraiser is dedication, try playing desert bus for 30 minutes. Tell me how long you last. But, this year they did raise $208,349.82 for childs play(a charity that buys toys for small kids in childrens hospitals)!

Second, another fundraiser that I love very much – The humble indy bundle!
This is a project to support both indy game developers AND Childs Play + EFF. How it works, indy game developers donate a game towards the bundle. Than anyone can come and get DRM FREE! Copies of all the games, for whatever price they choose! Also, a third of the money made goes to the charities I listed, so not only is it helping out really talented developers, but it is also giving money to kids that need it. This year (the first time around), HIB made a total of $1,824,408.65 dollars! Thats a really impressive amount. The humble indy bundle this year included over 80 dollars worth of games, for whatever price you wanted. It proved that using a pay what you want business model CAN be effective! I got some great quality DRM free games, and got to help charities for 10$, and I’m sure doing it again next time!
EDIT: (looks like humble indy bundle 2 actualy just started! Wow! Make sure to go here http://www.humblebundle.com/ and buy it!)
EDIT TWO: The HiB 2 just ended, but it looked like a great success and you can sign up to be notified for #3 already! Make sure to give them your email for #3!
!Florida
So, 3 days from now I will be leaving Montana temporarily to vacation in Florida. I’ll be flying into orlando than driving to west palm beach. I will most likely be visiting Disney World again. I sure enjoyed that amusement park last time. My review of the Ipod Touch will be incoming directly after this posting break. You may also see some reviews of places or businesses in Florida
Have a great break! Cya soon!

Offically Quitting LoL
So, lots of you know; before season 1, I was a very competitive LoL player. My normal ELO(Pre ranked) its very high and I’ve always tried my best to get better at the game. However, riot’s lack of planning for s1 gave me the opportunity to play with terribly balanced champions, matched me with complete noobs and tried to throw me into a ranked system based almost entirely on luck. Because of this non-competitive environment, coupled with the ever worsening community of 12 year olds and trolls – I am officially quitting. I have told other players I used to play with frequently I would attempt to play again during season 2. However, I am not assuring anyone I will stay for the duration of it. It all depends on if riot stops slacking and picks their game up off the ground. If you wish to play a normal game with me, just ask nicely and I’ll consider it. I frequently play with, and as well or better than many 1600-1700 players. So this matchmaking is obviously really messed up. (Yeah, I shouldn’t be getting queued with brand new 30′s). If you know of another game with a better competitive environment please post it below. I’m a competitive gamer, and unfortunately LoL did not give what it promised.
EDIT: 1/15/2011 Recently, It seems as if riot has started to shift their efforts back towards champion balance and removal of ragequitters ect from mm. This seems like a good step in the direction, so I think I’m gonna go back to playing again. See you ingame!
