The value of an old as dirt domain
As you may know, this blog gets a ton of traffic. I have no idea where from either. I’ve been starting a few other ‘non tech’ blogs recently, and came to notice NONE of them get close to the 2,000 uniques/mo that this site gets. Why? Because age is probably the single best SEO tool. The older your domain… the more people are interested in it. I think alphacide.com is around 3yo now.
For reference,
When I first started off I was getting under 25 uniques/mo. By 6mo mark my best month was 150ish uniques.
Now a consistent 2k.
